Made from the budding leaves of the tea plant, lightly fermented and a delicate roasting gives the tea leaves its namesake golden color.  Yunnan Black Tea is a fairly rare tea is it requires only tea buds and a tea maker who can properly roast the tea without blackening the buds. When infused, the bright golden buds darken to a deep red color showing off a rich reddish amber hue in the tea.
